Michael S. Faulkner, Managing Member

Mr. Faulkner, a former CPA, has over 35 years of senior financial, operational, and development experience with companies such as MedPartners (CareMark CVS), Rivien Health, and the Overton Group. He is the founder and Managing Member of Fortress Ventures, a developer of senior housing communities. Throughout his career, he has completed development projects and mergers and acquisitions in the healthcare and senior housing sectors totaling over $5.5 billion.

Mr. Faulkner possesses extensive experience in venture capital and private equity transactions, contract negotiations, transaction structuring, SEC filings, and integrating acquisitions to maximize profitability. He has founded and led several development companies and served as Chief Financial Officer for multiple real estate and healthcare organizations. Before this, he was a Senior Manager at KPMG, where he worked for nine years. Mr. Faulkner earned his Bachelor of Professional Accountancy from Mississippi State University and is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Mark L. Marlow, Managing Member  

Mr. Marlow has more than 35 years of experience in real estate development and construction. He was a founder and Managing Member of Fortress Ventures, a company specializing in the development of senior housing communities. Previously, he served as Senior Vice President for The Drummond Company, Inc.’s Real Estate Development Division. During his tenure at Drummond, Mr. Marlow was responsible for several high-profile projects, including Rancho La Quinta, a luxurious 700-acre golf course community in La Quinta, California, which hosts the PGA’s Qualifying School. He also contributed to the development of the upscale Tower Lake community in Orlando, Florida; Grasslands Golf & Country Club in Lakeland, Florida; the 1,500-acre premier golf course community of Oakbridge in Lakeland, Florida; and Liberty Park, a 4,000-acre master-planned community in Birmingham, Alabama, which features the Old Overton Golf and Country Club. In total, Mr. Marlow has developed over 1,100 senior housing units, spanning 1.1 million square feet, as well as 1,200 single-family homes. He holds a Bachelor of Finance degree from the University of Alabama and is a Certified Building Contractor and Real Estate Broker in Florida.

 

Jerry D. Reed, Managing Member

Mr. Reed has been a prominent entrepreneur in the construction and development industry for forty years. His companies have remodeled over 3 million square feet of office, medical, retail, and multifamily space across Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Texas. He has significant experience as both an owner and developer in the medical sector, having developed more than 60 medical office buildings, as well as medical campuses in Bartlesville, Owasso (both in Oklahoma), and Fayetteville, Arkansas.

In addition to his extensive background in medical development, Mr. Reed has been actively involved in owning and developing high-quality mixed-use developments, car washes, dental clinics, and both single-family and multi-family residential and commercial properties.Mr. Reed is a licensed General Contractor in both Oklahoma and Arkansas, as well as a licensed Electrical Contractor in Oklahoma. He is a member of the Building Owners and Managers Association, a Certified Commercial Investment Member, and a member of the National Association for Industrial and Office Parks. Additionally, he has been an active member of his community, serving on the board of the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization.
